CN Tower stair climb is way more fun on no sleep and no training.
Carla and I did the CN Tower Stair Climb for the United Way last Saturday. She had just gotten off a plane from South America and I just never sleep. It was fun.
They made this big deal about bring phones and cameras with you but I out witted the security and shoved mine down my bra. It got a little boob sweaty but no water damage. I count that as a win.
So much puke on the stairs from douche bags who were trying to be all quick and shit. Our time wasn't the greatest. 37 minutes. But we didn't die. Next time we're gonna get it under 30 minutes.
I celebrated with a 6 pack parked right beside the bath tub. Good times.

Facebook is my favorite!
Robbie will never cease to be amazed at how many douchebags pollute the city streets on a Friday night.

Jordan Trudel What offends me (and they are even my union brothers) is the haphazzard way the garbage men collect, esp. the compostables: leaving puddles of vomit-like substance every 20 feet or so--this washes down our storm sewers and untreated into the lake. Check out a wealthier neighbourhood in TO sometime on garbage day, however: there are no spills and... Read More the empty cans are placed in such orderly rows, you'd think they had a case of OCD. I see the problem with litterbugs as a side effect of the massive migration, in recent decades, of people to this metropolis that have no idea that its cleanliness WAS a central part of its identity. I worked parks in Scarborough where newly immigrated people (I won't specify), when finished with their picnics, threw every last bit of waste, including their disposible barbecues, over the Scarborough bluffs. The city I grew up in never had a litter issue, never.

Jordan Trudel My point was not new immigrants, gees, I work with them--my point was stated about newcomers to this city--that would include new immigrants--without specifying who they were, like I intentionally did, there is no specific hatred being expressed. If you want to get involved in attacking racists, use the proper forum. Cities are dirty but some are... Read More more dirty than others--take your rabidity somewhere else--you are so barking up the wrong tree. No go ahead and dissect this piece for anything you can find critically un PC--sheesh! Ever been abroad? No country has a general love of cleanliness comparable to Canada and every culture has clean and dirty living people. No, i'm angered more than that by your rabidity: go fuck yourself! You have no idea what you are talking about and need a punching bag--you aren't getting it here. My apologies Robbie, you seem to have political amteurs policing your profile. If you could comment on any of the other things I stated, I might feel differently. God, sometimes I hate facebook.

Jordan Trudel I'm a fucking immigrant! Came here in '75--you have no idea what you are talking about!

Jordan Trudel The vast majority of offenders are actually rural fucks that come to the big smoke, the immigrant status of the people above made it obvious that they were just not from this city. Good thing they weren't Korean or Jewish though--I would have gone balistic! fuck you and your ugly profile pick.

Butterfly Karma Oh no he didn't! Once you've calmed yourself you are gonna realize how very silly you are for before 8am on a Saturday.
I was merely commenting on the banality of your argument. "Oh no attitudes change and I'm scared and nostalgic!" I did not call you racist. Nor did I scumb to petty "your profile 'pick' is ugly" comments.
When you've safely ... Read Moreremoved your ballsack from your arsehole maybe we can ask Rob to post this downtown as a late Nuit Blanche exhibit - that is, if the crowds of non-Torontonians don't make you question the quick move towards modernity.

I'll be happy when I'm done being furious.
Yesterday on my walk to work I checked the mail and noticed a letter from Women's College Hospital - the hospital where my surgery was booked. I open the letter and find it scolding me for not calling in to find out my last biopsy results. I called the number on the letter immediately and tell the secretary, "I did call in. You scheduled me for surgery."
The Gynecology secretary quickly sifted through her files and found mine and told me "well why would I have scheduled you for surgery if your results are normal."
Umm...you tell me, lady. "Well, you did. You scheduled me for October 28 at 10:30am. I remember because I've been stressing about it since you scheduled it."
"Oh let me look. Well...the charts must have gotten mixed up."
I start to get pretty upset at this point as this "professional" not only disclosed someone else's personal information to be but caused me weeks of stress and was seemingly unapologetic about the entire ordeal.
The secretary starts again with "well, you should just be happy that you don't need surgery now. I mean, mistakes happen."
Umm...yes mistakes happen. But you don't SCHEDULE SOMEONE FOR SURGERY!
I find it troublesome that when you call for test results from a Doctor's Office you don't need to confirm anything more than your first and last name. When a higher level of security is required for paying my Telus or Sympatico bill than is for getting test results from the Doctor, something is a bit askew. I'm trying to find out how to make an official complaint against this woman both in terms of her service and lack of tact when dealing with private issues. When I get better service from a pimple faced teenager at The Gap than I do when being scheduled for surgery that I find out later I don't need, something is wrong.
